Time for a skillet cookie!

 Now for the placemats - with our "standard" size of 15 inches by 20 inches, there is plenty of room for a full place-setting, including multiple pieces of silverware, glassware, and a charger (if desired). Since we rarely have room for single-tasking pieces in our house, we are often found using our placemats to hold pans of freshly baked cookies (plenty of room for an 11x17 pan here!), cast-iron skillets full of our latest cornbread or scones recipe, or a French press and all the usual coffee-drinking paraphernalia.

The latest white rug...

 A perennial favorite of our customers and ourselves, the white rag rug is at once both classic and modern. It suits multiple decor styles and blends successfully into almost any room in your home. Thanks to the soft cotton of the upcycled t-shirts, our rag rugs feel as soft and cushy underfoot as they look in their photos.

Don't look around...

Time to take the plunge back into treasury making. Our summer's break became an early fall break as well, but that is probably a good thing. We are now back with a file full of ideas. For starters, we are using Francesca Battistelli's single from this spring, "Strangely Dim," as our treasury inspiration. Pretty robin's-egg blue, olive green, and silver fit together beautifully with the lyrics of one of our favorite songs of 2013.

The truth in my life...

Charming cottage pieces from our fellow CAST shops found their way into our treasury today. Inspired by Laura Story's song "This Is the Day," we combined shades of white, aqua blue, and mint green with just a hint of yellow and cream. With all things springy and soft, it's a sweet reminder to celebrate the gift of new life in Christ.

Baby Aqua

A chocolaty brown covered with aqua polka dots became the inspiration piece for our latest denim quilt. To highlight the colors in the backing, we included several cream-hued pieces, along with warm aqua and brown denim, to our quilt top. Two small pockets add a whimsical touch to our baby girl quilt, while the variety of blues keep the eye intrigued by the mix of light and dark colors. Snuggle up with our toasty combination of denim and cotton as winter approaches.

So Shabby...

White and cream, cream and white...nothing but a pure palette of one of the world's most soothing colors takes the stage in our newest rag rug. The crisp, clean collection of whites is a lovely complement to a laundry or bath, or a cozy, cottage chic kitchen.
