Fuchsia-lined ACU Gift Bags

The other ten of the twenty girl-colored ACU gift bags we sewed for the Army-themed birthday bash were lined with fuchsia pink flannel. It's a pretty shade - vibrant, feminine, and eye-catching - and paired well with the variety of pink and white buttons we had in our button jars. Our favorite feature, though, is the topstitching. Introducing the lining color to the bags' tabs and tops with our topstitching gives an extra dash of stylish pink to the otherwise earthy-colored camouflage, and allows the bags to retain their crisp shape even with repeated use. (It simplifies ironing them for photos, too!)

Perfectly purple...

Lilac-lined ACU Gift Bags

Time for a peek back into our custom-orders from this spring. We had the privilege of creating camouflage gift bags for a birthday party, and create we did. Today we would like to show you the first quarter of our work for this Army-themed birthday bash: the lilac purple-lined gift bags. Soft cotton flannel was our lining material of choice which, together with our favorite ACU twill, made for a pleasing combination of textures sturdy and snuggly. We mixed two styles of purple buttons - flowers and metallic-edged - along with dainty white flower buttons to add a girlish flair to the otherwise neutral camo exterior. The resulting bags were playful, pretty, and durable - exactly what is needed for a child's party favor.

Bronze and blue...

What's navy blue and coffee brown, and fastens with a button? Our latest upholstery gift bag! Bronze adds an unexpected metallic glimmer to the otherwise subtle neutral bag, and the geometric pattern keeps the color palette looking modern and fresh. We sewed our bag in our standard reusable size - large enough to hold a folded shirt or sweater, or a trio of fiction. (You can tell what we like to give as gifts!) The bag could also contain a can of coffee and bars of dark chocolate, to function as a birthday gift, or a pretty scented candle and a box of exotic tea, for your favorite hostess.
